Ocean Infinity is seeking a Head of Technical Vessel Management who will be responsible for the day-to-day continued technical seaworthiness and technical upkeep of the Armada fleet. The role encompasses developing and steering our fleet of vessels from the new building phase into service, which includes participation in the development of new technology, as well as improvements of existing technology and encompasses in-service technical management of the assets.

What will you do:

  • Ultimately responsible for the technical performance of the company´s owned vessels;
  • Oversee and co-ordinate the build of our fleet, fleet additions and re-deliveries, ensuring a seamless introduction of vessels into service;
  • Responsible for in-service technical management of ships and payloads. Including budgetary efficiency, and global supply chain management to assure technical uptime requirements kept;
  • Continual review of manufacturers, regulatory authority and other industry bodies technical bulletins and data to ensure the fleet remains compliant with required legislation;
  • Develop, continually improve and oversee the maintenance programs whilst employing innovative methods to suit our target operating model;
  • Ensure repeat defects are captured and followed up with the manufacturer and rectified in an expedient manner;
  • Ensure all publications, records, worksheets and procedures are accurate and meet regulatory requirements;
  • Develop and continually improve continued seaworthiness procedures, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met for the benefits of the business;
  • In conjunction with the Commercial team and the Fleet Management team, develop the short term and long term base maintenance plans, including spares strategy, to maximise vessel uptime;
  • Ensure quality and safety issues within fleet technical management are addressed, implementing effective remedial actions to ensure full and final closure;
  • Promote safety and the implementation of a robust, state of the art health and safety system including promoting a corporate culture focused on HSSEQ;
  • Work closely with the relevant teams to ensure remote capabilities are developed and implemented in accordance with the set technical standards, and act as an ambassador for Ocean Infinity’s remote capabilities;
  • Play an active role in the company´s transition to greener vessel operations, including  exploring green solutions in all steps of the supply chain and in the delivery of the vessels including their specifications and capabilities;
  • Build, manage and develop a successful technical vessel management team to interface with internal and external partners.



Who you are:

  • Degree in marine operations (nautical or engineering) or equivalent experience or education;
  • A strong solid technical background with a demonstrable track record within the marine industry from shipyard (new building, conversion and/or repair) and shipping/offshore companies;
  • A strong and experienced leader who can build and lead a successful team and positively motivate them to achieve results;
  • Embrace innovation and cutting-edge technology and be a champion for the implementation and acceptance of new solutions, routines and processes;
  • Strong leadership skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Driven, proactive and able to work autonomously with little supervision towards the company’s purpose;
  • Critical thinking and ability to show initiative;

Salary for the position:

UK: Up to £120,000 per year
Singapore: Up to $300,000 SGD per year
Gothenburg: Up to 1,200,000 SEK per year

Salary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
