Unreal Engineer/ C++ Developer -

Ocean Infinity is seeking an Unreal Engine Engineer or Software Engineer focused in C++ that also wants to work and learn Unreal Engine, who will integrate teams of 4-6 people.

The company’s technology ranges from a managed cloud data platform, synthetic environments, advanced 3D visualisation and operation management system tools. The software created is mission-critical and strives for extreme reliability.

The role:

We are seeking an Unreal Engine Engineer, focused more on C++ side than blueprints. We create both real time representation and simulated environments targeting marine operations that work with remote control/supervision features and automation using 3D as the basis for most applications.

Working closely with the other software engineers or artists and reporting to the Team Lead, you will help design architectures for different solutions, follow the best quality practices in software development but have your own opinion to continuously improve the process. Your contributions and skill should make you a reference for the team, capable of having both code ownership and architectural inputs in order to deliver state-of-the-art products, helping the company reach its goals and go above and beyond clients expectations.

 

The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Develop products using technologies such as Unreal Engine 4, C++, .Net C#, Python, among others;
  • Help design architecture for systems and solutions for technically complex products;
  • Follow development and quality best practices, but be critical if you believe they can be improved.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology;
  • +3 years of experience as software engineer targeting C++;
  • +2 year of experience with Unreal Engine;
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills;
  • Proactive, a problem solver;
  • Fluency in English (speaking and writing) – B1 level minimum.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience with simulation software;
  • Experience with other 3D Game Engines;
  • Experience developing with visual scripting alongside with C++.

 

Compliance:

  • Complies with Ocean Infinity management system policies, all OIMS practices, programs, and procedures.
  • Successfully completes required training as identified by OIMS and the management tea.m
  • Participates in the OIMS by reporting events, attending meetings and workshops, reporting problems, and recommending improvements, and other related activities.
  • Informs an Ocean Infinity Supervisor, Team Lead, or Manager of any unidentified risks, hazards, or system deficiencies in the workplace.
  • Supports Ocean Infinity’s environmental and social goals.
