Ocean Infinity is seeking a commercially minded proactive Senior Tax Manager to be a key part in our mission to transform the way we work through innovative technologies that enable people and planet to thrive. They will establish our tax function within the Office of the CFO. They will lead, with the help of our strategic tax advisors, the creation of a world-class tax function underpinned by technology. The ideal candidate will have experienced the range of issues associated with fast-growth multi-national OMBs (Owner Managed Businesses). They will have responsibility for all tax-related matters affecting the group from the long term strategic to the short term operational.

What will you do:

  • Ensure tax risks and complexities are properly understood and managed;
  • Develop effective tax related management systems and processes for the Group;
  • Drive technology solutions that produce efficient processes through automation.
  • Build a service model for tax that delivers:
  • A robust and flexible global tax and transfer pricing structure;
  • On time and accurate management of global compliance obligations across all taxes (e.g. Corporate, sales  including VAT and payroll taxes), including associated cash/liability management;
  • Effective relationships with local tax authorities in the jurisdictions which we operate and where appropriate those we are targeting;
  • Globally optimised access to IP/R&D tax credits, reliefs and other associated incentives;
  • Timely support to the operations team in respect of project level tax implications and risks;
  • High quality advice required during expansion to new jurisdictions or other corporate structure changes, including indirect tax and employee transfer impacts where relevant;
  • Tax optimisation for asset holdings and contractual arrangements;
  • Responsibility for tax disclosures in external financial reporting.
  • Specific activities will include, working closely on a strategic level with:
  • Legal department to develop governance, tax planning and other needs that meet business requirements;
  • Commercial team to ensure tenders and new opportunities are correctly priced and contractually structured for income tax, Indirect tax and other tax impacts perspective;
  • Operations team to ensure the activities are compliant with tax regulations including indirect tax and employment taxes related to immigration status of crew;
  • Supporting the Finance department with accurate reporting of tax charges within management reporting;
  • Keep the organisation updated with the latest and upcoming changes in laws and regulations that will affect the group and its operations.



Who you are:

  • A senior tax professional with broad experience in tax categories who is enthusiastic about protecting people and the planet;
  • Ability to articulate complex technical topics in simple usable language that facilitates real world business decision making
  • Strong leadership skills, the confidence to produce options and make recommendations, and the appetite to take ownership of outcomes;
  • A desire to step away from the deeply technical and participate in the strategic plans of a fast-growing entrepreneurial business;
  • Ability to build relationships and good dialogues with governmental bodies for the company to properly explain and prove eligibility for tax and other incentives available;
  • Ability to build and document tax cases based on the current and future operations;
  • A person with all round capabilities including:
