Ocean Infinity is seeking a Senior Survey Engineer to manage all survey Equipment and the interface of those between different platforms, such as WORV, AUV, ROTVs and the vessel IT infrastructure.

Division/Department: Operations – Survey Sensors

Reports to: Survey Tech Manager

What will you do:

  • Ensure all equipment is prepared and tested;
  • Integrate survey sensors on the ROV’s and vessels;
  • Perform fault finding and maintenance of survey sensors, FO multiplexers, and computer hardware;
  • Liaise with onshore technical support and manufacturers;
  • Maintain documentation and inventory of spare parts on board survey vessels;
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment associated with an ROV/survey;
  • Maintain technical documentation on all aspects of ROV/survey equipment;
  • Write post-mission reports when necessary;
  • Some rotation might be based onshore to support vessels coming into port for maintenance.



Who you are:

  • 5+ years experience in survey and ROV equipment;
  • 2+ years experience as an offshore technician;
  • Familiar with the industry’s standard procedures, workflow and typical tasks executed on a survey vessel;
  • Current and valid medical certificate;
  • Current and valid survival certificate;
  • Minimum of 2 years experience offshore as a Survey Engineer Grade 1.
  • Thoughtful, thorough and conscientious;
  • Interested in others and strives for the best for the team;
  • Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work;
  • Integrity, credibility and maturity for confidential issues;
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with diplomacy;
  • Ability to work as a trusted advisor with senior stakeholders;
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Driven, proactive and able to work autonomously with little supervision towards the company’s purpose;
  • Critical thinking and ability to show initiative;

  • Ability to work well in a team and independently;
