Ocean Infinity is seeking an Enterprise IT Infrastructure Engineer, Network.  This is a new role in the Enterprise IT Engineering team, reporting to the Director, Enterprise IT.  The main function of the Network Engineer is to design, deploy, maintain, support, and optimize Ocean Infinity networks operating critical infrastructure and business systems.

What will you do:

  • Develop, deploy, test, maintain, support and optimize IT on premise and cloud network infrastructure;
  • Work within a team as a noted expert with a wide range of systems or in-depth product knowledge without supervision helping to define and implement technical best practice;
  • Plan, support, install and manage network equipment, network segments, firewall and networking devices as a subject matter expert;
  • Ensure effective planning and implementation of creative and innovative service changes;
  • Plan, document, and execute on projects including the implementation of IT kit for vessels and remote control centers;
  • Manage systems within SLA, proposing, defining improvements and implementing changes to meet service level requirements;
  • Monitors performance through statistical reporting and analysis;
  • Act as a subject matter expert, promoting knowledge sharing and development of other team members both inside and outside of the group;
  • Partner with other Ocean Infinity departments to understand and support their IT needs;
  • Take ownership for obtaining the information required to diagnose and resolve more complex problems;
  • Engage with third parties to jointly resolve in-depth product issues where necessary;
  • Proactively analyze information and trends, proposing action to resolve problems, maintain and enhance service;
  • Collaborate with the broader Enterprise IT teams including Satellite Communications, Cyber Security, Cloud, and Data Solutions;
  • Prepare documentation for operations (SOP), support, and maintenance of a new service or solution;
  • Document the individual tasks to complete project delivery;
  • Identify, communicate and mitigate risks, assumptions and issues;
  • Implement solutions incorporating industry and security best practices;
  • Stay up to date with new products, tools and techniques, encouraging their use within the business to promote continuous improvement of capability.


Who you are:

  • 5+ years of networking experience operating in an Enterprise IT environment including Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls;
  • Expert knowledge of network infrastructure and security related tools such as whitelisting, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and firewalls;
  • 5+ years of experience monitoring networks and performing proactive maintenance;
  • 5+ years of experience with Next Generation firewall technology;
  • Expert knowledge of LANs, WANs, VPNs, and SDWANs;
  • Experience with Azure virtual networks or equivalent;
  • Experience troubleshooting network issues across WAN, LAN, and Operating Systems;
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise IT Infrastructure (Servers, VMware, SAN, NAS) including VxRail, Cisco, Dell EMC Storage;
  • Self-starter with excellent documentation skills.
  • Thoughtful, thorough and conscientious;
  • Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work;
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Driven, proactive and able to work autonomously with little supervision towards the company’s purpose;
  • Critical thinking and ability to show initiative;
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or related degree;
  • Industry relevant certifications.
