IMR Project Manager -

Ocean Infinity is seeking an experienced Project Manager, with a proven track record of delivering IMR based projects in a global remit.

The role will focus predominantly in the EUAF region, however, in the immediate period of growth of the IMR service offering, support will be required across all regions. International travel will be required supporting the Global Offshore Business Line Director, in addition to the senior management commercial and operations team.

The role:

The project manager will have accountability for multiple projects in various phases of the project-lifecycle. Focus will be on delivery excellence both internally and externally to the client, focusing on scheduling, planning and P&L accountability.

The role will be fast paced and challenging, with an opportunity to manage projects on the emerging Armada fleet of vessels as they are released for commercialisation of remote and uncrewed operations.

 

The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Delivering successful projects on budget;
  • Accountable for the entire project budget and contract;
  • Ensuring robust technical and commercial change control mechanisms/procedures are in place and are being adhered to diligently;
  • Establish and implement project meetings whether internally or externally at Client premises or Ocean Infinity premises and ensure their frequency and repetition;
  • Establishing a good working relationship and rapport with Company and Client project team members alike to ensure project harmony;
  • Ensuring project related Company sales are maximised and up to date with all potential delays mitigated;
  • To lead and motivate the team to ensure that projects are delivered safely without injury to personnel or damage to equipment;
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the right team is set up for the project;
  • Overall responsibility for resources and assets within the project;
  • Be the key Ocean Infinity representative and single point of contact towards the client;
  • Maintain and control Risk and Opportunity to ensure that risks are mitigated and opportunities are identified and achieved;
  • Take active responsibility for project HSEQS performance and keep a relentless focus on how to improve HSEQS within projects.

 

Person Specification:

  • Demonstrates great leadership skills and have the ability to lead, support, develop and inspire engineers at all levels;
  • Has a commercial mindset and act as an ambassador for the Company when dealing with colleagues, clients, and other external personnel;
  • Ability to work and communicate with colleagues at all levels in the company;
  • Structure your own and others time in order to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment;
  • Ability to prioritise and have flexibility to cope with new tasks and unforeseen changes;
  • Proven track record of delivery on IRM Projects;
  • Recent experience and proven capability on both tendering for and delivering construction, IRM + Intervention projects safely, under budget and on-time;
  • Diverless project operational experience;
  • Internationally mobile for client meetings;
  • Recent experience of working with major IOCs is highly advantageous;
  • Culturally aware with the ability to work across different levels of organisations both locally and internationally;
  • Degree qualified in an engineering discipline, however demonstrable industry experience will be considered.

 

Essential:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Project Management (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, however, industry experience may also be suitable;
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience in industry-related role as project manager, ROV pilot, inspection coordinator;
  • Understanding of interfaces between various engineering disciplines;
  • Understands and effectively communicates the transition from Conventional to Remote operations to clients ;
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office inc. Project;
  • Fluency in English language, spoken and written.

 

Desirable:

  • Project Management Training – PMI or APM accredited;
  • Understanding of relevant oil & energy industry codes and standards;
  • Demonstrable experience in an offshore industry project role including construction activities through to close-out;
  • Experience in the use of Planning software;

 

Compliance:

  • Communicates and implements Ocean Infinity’s integrated management system policies and their requirements to employees, visitors, and contractors;
  • Directs individuals under supervision, including but not limited to superintendents, team leads, mariners, contractors, and other affected personnel to obtain any required OIMS-related training;
  • Implement processes to maintain incident/illness prevention and OIMS-related programs;
  • Implements risk assessment process in areas of responsibility;
  • Determines OIMS objectives and ensures needs for units/departments are met;
  • Incorporates OIMS requirements and responsibilities into each appropriate job/role description, and ensures system requirements and expectations are communicated to each team member;
  • Assesses the impact of new processes and equipment, and incorporates appropriate controls for risk;
  • Includes appropriate aspects of the OIMS (e.g. quality, health, safety, environment, business continuity, human rights, etc.) when evaluating and selecting suppliers;
  • Maintains and improves management system programs;
  • Conducts periodic management system audits of work areas and/or facilities as assigned;
  • Maintains and improves emergency response/contingency plans that provide clear roles and responsibilities for team members, in order to ensure familiarity and coordination between Ocean Infinity team members and emergency responders;
  • Drives Ocean Infinity’s social and environmental goals and ensures that all decision making supports those goals.
