Ocean Infinity is seeking a HSE Coordinator to assist the HSEQ Director with the management of global HSE related aspects and local HSE management and oversight for UK facilities.

The HSE Coordinator will be part of the Ocean Infinity global HSEQ team and will assist the HSEQ team with the management of HSE related updates and maintenance as well as inspections and assessments.  In addition, the HSE Coordinator will ensure UK related HSE requirements are identified and adhered to. The HSE Coordinator will actively maintain and further develop processes and procedures related to HSE in the management system.

Reports to: HSEQ Director

 

What will you do:

  • Maintain and update documentation related to HSE;
  • Document Non-conformity reports and the operation of the indicent notification system – focus on onshore / site reporting, including incident investigations and reporting to Health and Safety Executive and similar authorities, as applicable;
  • Continuously identify legal changes and actively implement required actions to ensure full onshore site conformity;
  • Participate in the development of HSE training programs;
  • Support the management in managing HSE issues and aspects globally, i.e. COSHH, PAT, PUWER and other occupational health aspects and assessments;
  • Manage HSE issues and aspects for UK worksites, i.e. Environmental aspects, COSHH, PAT, PUWER and other HSE related aspects and assessments;
  • Maintain and develop the Ocean Infinity management system within scope of responsibility;
  • Conduct site and vessel visits/audits and assist in setting up and maintaining HSE related systems and processes;
  • Participate in Safety Committees and Safety Inspections;
  • Assist with the development and execution of HSE related communication, training and courses;
  • Promotion of the safety culture to on-site employees including performing HSE coaching and displaying active visible safety leadership;
  • Identification and communication of trends and statistics related to HSE;
  • Assist with on-site Risk Assessment activities and controlling of Permits to Work.

 

Who you are:

  • An HSE professional that has experience in working with management systems and HSE related tasks;
  • Holds a Relevant Bachelor/Master’s degree or recognized health and safety qualification at NQF Level 6 or above based on UK safety standards (e.g. NVQ, British Safety Council, NEBOSH);
  • Strong understanding of quality management such as standards, regulations and applicable policies and procedures;
  • Good practical experience with office tools: MS Office, Google Drive, Teams, e-mail, among others;
  • Thoughtful, thorough and conscientious;
  • Interested in the others and strives for the best for the team;
  • Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work;
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Critical thinking and ability to show initiative;
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently;
  • Enthusiastic about protecting people and the planet.

Desirable:  

  • IEMA or similar Environmental standard qualification preferred;
  • ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 auditing certifications are preferred.
