Ocean Infinity is seeking an HR IT Business Systems Engineer.

Reports to: Director of Enterprise IT Operations

 

The role:

This is a new role in the organization, due to expansion and will be part of the wider Enterprise IT Operations team, reporting into the Director, Enterprise IT Operations. The main function of the HR IT Business Systems Engineer is to assess, evaluate, implement, integrate and support internal business systems for the Enterprise.

 

The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for ensuring the performance and reliability of Enterprise Software Systems, with a focus on HR systems;
  • Perform troubleshooting for hardware, software and system incidents that involve internal business systems;
  • Monitor and maintain performance metrics for system features, recommends and takes corrective/preventive actions;
  • Perform configuration, change management and testing activities as required;
  • Act as a single point-of-contact for internal departments.

 

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Must have 3-5 years of experience implementing and supporting Sage or Workday – other HR Systems and SW/SaaS experience is a plus;
  • The position requires 3-5 years of experience working in a large (300+ nodes, 20+ servers) enterprise network environment;
  • Experience with implementing SaaS platforms in a Cloud environment;
  • Previous experience in an Enterprise Applications Administrator or Enterprise Applications Support role;
  • Good understanding and experience using ticketing systems, such as ServiceNow, Zendesk and ServiceDesk Plus.

 

Compliance:

  • Complies with Ocean Infinity management system policies, all OIMS practices, programs, and procedures;
  • Successfully completes required training as identified by OIMS and the management team;
  • Participates in the OIMS by reporting events, attending meetings and workshops, reporting problems, and recommending improvements, and other related activities;
  • Informs an Ocean Infinity Supervisor, Team Lead, or Manager of any unidentified risks, hazards, or system deficiencies in the workplace;
  • Supports Ocean Infinity’s environmental and social goals.
