Ocean Infinity is seeking a Data Processor Grade 1 who will report to the Deputy Data Processing Manager and work within the data processing department whilst assisting the Senior Data Processors to ensure that data processing progress meets the project specifications with no or minimum interruption.

What will you do:
- Independently process data from acquisition to final product;
- Help with work involved in project preparation in collaboration with the Senior Data Processor;
- Ensure project requirements are fulfilled on all deliverables under supervision of a Senior Data Processor;
- Assist the Senior Data Processor in ensuring that processing routines are continuously reviewed with respect to efficiency and quality;
- Actively communicate with the Senior Data Processor, or in the absence of such the project management, to ensure data acquisition meets project requirements;
- Provide clear guidance to other Data Processors on workflows and procedures for Data processing work;
- Ensure the processing logs are properly utilised;
- Work within the Project group to assist with reporting;
- Participate in OI’s internal equipment and software development;
- Assist the Senior Data Processor with relevant mobilisation and calibration results, data deliverables, and report contents;
- Assist with decisions regarding deviations to the daily workflow and/or final product, in consensus with the Senior Data Processor.
In the absence of the Senior Data Processor:
- Sign off relevant mobilisation and calibration results, data deliverables, and report contents for standard small-scale projects;
- Make decisions regarding deviations to the daily workflow and/or final product, in consensus with the project management.
Who you are:
- Fulfill the Ocean Infinity requirements for a Data Processor Grade 1 based on the IMCA guidelines;
- Experience of at least 10+ projects in an offshore survey environment as a Data Processor;
- At least 3+ years’ relevant experience as a data processor within an offshore survey environment;
- Demonstrated experience of at least some survey types whilst working alongside numerous Asset operators, and survey contractors. Examples of the most relevant survey types include, but are not limited to, geophysical survey, visual/acoustic pipeline inspection survey and cable tracking survey;
- Understanding of at least some of the most common data processing software used throughout the offshore industry, with particular focus on EIVA NaviEdit/NaviModel, Teledyne CARIS and QPS Qimera;
- Experience with at least some of the most common post processing software used within the offshore industry. Examples of these may include, but are not limited to, Sonardyne Janus, iXblue DELPH and Applanix POSPac;
- Strong understanding of quality management such as standards, regulations and applicable policies and procedures;
- Good practical experience with office tools: MS Office, Google Drive, Teams, e-mail, among others;
- Thoughtful, thorough and conscientious;
- Interested in others and strives to act in the best interests of the team;
- Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work;
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong communication skills;
- Driven, proactive and able to work autonomously with little supervision towards the company’s purpose;
- Critical thinking and ability to show initiative;
- Open and receptive to new and different ideas;
- Ability to work well in a team and independently;
- Enthusiastic about protecting people and the planet.
Desirable:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, at a minimum, in hydrography, geology (Marine, Quaternary, Bedrock, etc) or oceanography.
