Business Development Manager -

Ocean Infinity Group Ltd, a leading data analytics and marine robotics business, is looking for a Business Development Manager with a track record of cultivating synergistic relationships to deliver successful business outcomes, champion innovation and create satisfying customer-company experiences.

After 4 years of rapid growth the company is about to make a material transformation in terms of performance and scale. Within this role you will help drive the next phase of growth as the company pushes the frontier of marine robotic operations beyond anything that has been done by anyone before.

The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

Position Purpose

Develop and promote the strategy to drive integrated sales of products and services that maximize revenue for the company.  Develop and foster a culture of professionalism and innovative business engagement.

The successful Business Development Manager will be comfortable navigating ambiguity and operating in a start-up environment. We expect the person in this position to create a sales strategy from the ground up and to successfully execute upon our ambitious product adoption goals. The ideal candidate will have experience developing relationships across functional areas such as Operations, Contracts, Procurement, Finance, and IT and has a proven track record of meeting and exceeding program goals and revenue targets.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drive growth through the provision of O/I products and services to assigned clients and geographies
  • Ensure collaboration between Sales and Operations to achieve integrated sales and maximize revenue
  • Foster open communication with Sales and Operational leadership to understand and act on targeted priorities, introduce new technologies and workflows to the clients.
  • Attend trade shows and events as required. Present and promote O/I at public engagements
  • Take leadership role to deliver integrated tenders in coordination with the tender team
  • Demonstrate the interpersonal skills to maintain and improve on client satisfaction
  • Assess program risks, anticipate challenges, and provide escalation to management when necessary
  • This role will be based in Southampton
  • Proven track record of over 5 years in a complex B2B sales environments
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills



  • Responsible for building account and geography plans to enable focused revenue growth
  • Update and ensure the accuracy of the pipeline forecast



  • Maintain extensive knowledge of our technical offering



  • Implement and comply with all company processes and. procedures
  • Comply with all government, industry and company regulations and standards to ensure a healthy and safe work environment, as well as, reduce environmental impact.


Desired Qualifications

  • 5 years experience in B2B sales
  • BA/BS degree
  • Desire to work in fast-paced, challenging environment
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to effectively advise senior leadership
  • Ability to prioritize and demonstrate relentless discipline in achieving goals
  • Proven ability to influence others and lead customer engagements
  • Strong ownership, bias for action
  • Ability to Dive Deep and deal with large sets of data
  • Sales or Business Development background with a Technology/Communications provider
  • Experience with CRM SalesForce Enterprise
  • Experience with Renewable Sales markets and Windfarms
  • Experience developing delivery methodologies
