Accounting Manager -

The role:

The main purpose will be to develop and implement financial plans.  The role will encompass analysing performance, generating insight and partnering with colleagues across the business to drive the delivery of financial targets.   This role will ensure the global stakeholders receive all needed business partnering support with regards to reporting, planning, decision-making, and other ad hoc requests.

 

The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for GAAP accounting, reporting, month-end close, and consolidation of the financial results;
  • Ability to build and document scalable accounting and control processes and lead a small team;
  • Provide analysis of financial information and assistance with budget variance explanations;
  • Ability to manage the details of function but also set a vision and stay ahead of the growth and changing needs of the company;
  • Monthly general ledger account analysis and balance sheet account reconciliation;
  • Manage financial and tax audits and preparation of required schedules;
  • Conducts quarterly operating expense reviews with functional leaders to identify trends, variances, cost savings, and organizational optimization opportunities;
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements and filings.

 

Person Specification

Essential:

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA/ CPA qualification or equivalent;
  • 8+ years of finance experience, with a strong focus on process and system implementations;
  • Robust Excel skills, with ability to create pivot tables, develop graphs and charts, and utilize formulas;
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, including advanced financial modeling and analysis;
  • Proven ability to utilize advanced financial reporting features in financial systems;
  • Strong communicator with an ability to distil detailed and technical topics to non-finance stakeholders;
  • Ability to identify improved ways of working to drive a single standardised global view;
  • Able to work in a high paced environment and excited by change;
  • Occasional international travel.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience with Netsuite.

  • Provides visible guidance and operational leadership for implementing the OIMS consistently with Ocean Infinity’s policy in all facilities and operations;
  • Assesses information provided during management reviews, and directs actions to continually improve the integrated management system and reduces risk in the workplace;
  • Drives Ocean Infinity’s social and environmental goals and ensures that all decision making supports those goals.
